Hello, I'm Emily

My mission is to empower my clients to learn ways to navigate their emotional landscapes — and to help them adjust to their communities, because everyone deserves to feel a sense of belonging.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with many years of hands-on experience, I am dedicated to providing a comfortable, supportive, and judgment-free therapeutic environment. Throughout my career, I have worked with clients across many different settings — many of whom have faced developmental, emotional, or social challenges that more traditional therapy doesn't always address well.

My specialization lies in behaviorally-focused techniques tailored to meet the unique needs of those with diverse abilities. I have extensive experience working with clients who are also diagnosed with genetic and cognitive disorders, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, learning disabilities, anxiety, depression, and other emotional and behavioral concerns.

Through evidence-based therapeutic interventions, I guide my clients in understanding and managing their emotions while fostering positive behaviors. I deeply value working closely with families and caregivers — because lasting change rarely happens in isolation.

My Approach to Therapy

My approach is grounded in evidence-based, behaviorally-focused techniques — but it's never one-size-fits-all. I meet each client where they are, honor their unique strengths and challenges, and build a plan that works for their life, not against it.

  • Honoring neurodivergence as a different way of experiencing the world, not a deficit
  • Building practical skills for emotional regulation and self-advocacy
  • Partnering with families and caregivers as part of the therapeutic team
  • Using behavioral interventions that respect autonomy and dignity
  • Celebrating progress in ways that are meaningful to each client

Who I Work With

Individual Therapy

One-on-one therapy for individuals navigating emotional, social, or behavioral challenges — including those with autism spectrum diagnoses, ADHD, learning differences, anxiety, depression, or related concerns.

Parent Coaching

Parenting a child with developmental, emotional, or behavioral needs can feel overwhelming — especially when you're not sure what's working or where to turn. Parent coaching gives you space to be heard, evidence-based strategies you can actually use at home, and a partner in figuring it out together.

Social Skills & Independent Living Training

For teens and adults working on social communication, daily living skills, and the practical tools needed to live more independently. We focus on real-world skills in real-world contexts — building confidence and capability one step at a time.

A Personal Note

What I love most about this work is watching someone realize they're capable of more than they thought — and watching their family or caregivers see them through new eyes too. Progress doesn't always look dramatic. Sometimes it looks like one quieter morning, one harder conversation handled well, one new skill that opens a door. Those moments matter. They're why I do this.
